Breeders' Cup Ticket Application Deadline is Friday, June 4

The last opportunity to be included in a random drawing for tickets to this year's Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, is Friday, June 4. Ticket applications have been accepted since late January and more than 40,000 seats have already been requested.

The 21st Breeders' Cup, consisting of eight Grade I races with purses and awards totaling $14 million, will be held Saturday, October 30.

To accommodate the tremendous interest in the 2004 Breeders' Cup - the first time that the event will be held in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the Southwest - plans call for installation of temporary seating to accommodate an approximate crowd of 50,000.

Tickets available to the general public range from $25.00 to $125.00.

All applications must be received at Lone Star Park no later than Friday, June 4, to be included in a random drawing that will determine the order in which applications will be processed.

Applications received after the deadline will be handled on a first come, first served basis, dependent upon seating availability. Tickets are limited to six per household.

Online ticket applications are available at Lone Star Park's website, lonestarpark.com. Customers may also obtain applications via e-mail at bctickets@lonestarpark.com, by calling Lone Star Park at (972) 263-7223 or (800) 795-7223 or on site at Lone Star Park.

Applicants may choose from seating options, rank them in order of preference, and have the option of selecting the Next Best Available Seating if their first selection is sold out. Optional seating for Thursday, October 28 (International Jockey Championship Day) and Friday, October 29 (Walmac Lone Star Derby Day) are also available in the ticket packages.
