	Gillespie County Fair's Annual Mixed Meet Opens July 4, Condition Book and Stakes Schedule Released (Fredericksburg, TX - Tuesday, June 24, 2020) - The Gillespie County Fairground Association has released its 2020 stakes schedule and condition book, which includes a $1,500 across the board purse increase for both Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred day races. The 2020 G.C.F.A. live race meet will run July 4 thru August 23. "With the most recent deposit of the tax escrow monies, we find it possible to increase the purses without any fear of overpaying," GCFA Racing Secretary Shyrl Hopkins said today. "The Quarter Horse people have suffered pretty badly through all the cancelling going on in Texas racing, so we're hoping this will help somewhat."
