Do your part to help our industry move our efforts to legalize video lottery terminals (VLTs) at Texas racetracks forward by attending a Keep Texas Running Horsemen's Gala in Austin, Texas on Tuesday, April 26 and Horsemen's Day at the Texas State Capitol the following day. It is important that horsemen turn out in force for Horsemen's Day at the State Capitol in order to reinforce to the Texas Legislature how important the racing industry is to the Lone Star State.

The Keep Texas Running Horsemen's Gala will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas. Tickets are $50 per person, with table sponsorships ranging from $1,000-$5,000. Please RSVP by Saturday, April 23 to either plcolbert@aol.com or (512) 355-3225.

Horsemen's Day at the State Capitol will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27. You will be supplied with Capitol maps, legislator information, talking points and guides to help you find our way around the Capitol as we rally for VLTs at Texas racetracks. Those who can stay will meet for lunch in the Capitol Cafeteria.
