"Jockey & Java" Free Breakfast and Horse Workout Program Premieres on May 29 at LSP

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, May 21, 2010) - Watch hundreds of horses as they go through their morning workouts and enjoy a delicious, free breakfast of Chef Jake’s breakfast burritos, danish, coffee and juice in the Courtyard of Champions at Lone Star Park. The new "Jockey & Java" program will take place on the following Saturday mornings: May 29, June 5, 12, 19, 26 and July 17.

Learn about what happens behind the scenes at Lone Star Park with Track Announcer John Lies, who will host the morning workouts and talk with special guests, including jockeys, trainers and some of the people that have the most important jobs at the racetrack. Among Lies guests for the opening program on Saturday, May 29 at 8:30 a.m. will be world-reknown jockey Aaron Gryder, who is riding his first meet at Lone Star Park this year, and award-winning Fort Worth Star-Telegram racing writer Gary West.

Following the workouts, fans are invited to take a behind-the-scenes trip to the backstretch to visit a trainer’s barn and see the horses up close.

Everyone in attendance will receive a Lone Star TrackPack with coupons for free general admission and a Lone Star Today racing program for live racing.

Breakfast will be in the Courtyard of Champions from 8:30 until 10:00 a.m., and backstretch tours will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
