Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie will remain open for training for horsemen over the winter. The Winter training session at Lone Star Park will begin on December 2 and continue through March 20, 2009. Training hours wlll be 7:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Mondays through Saturdays, with the track closed on Sundays.

Cost:
$6.00 per day
$20 ship in and train (work or gallop)
$100 dorm room rent per month (one month minimum)
$235 per month entire walking wheel
$70 per arm

Clocking: Official workouts will be available Tuesdays through Saturdays beginning on January 2, 2009. You must have a copy of foal papers in the Racing Office to get an official workout, and the exercise rider must be identified and licensed by the Texas Racing Commission.

Starting Gate: The starting gate will normally be available for gate schooling on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning on January 6, 2009.

Training Races: Training races will be conducted on February 11, February 25, and March 11, 2009.

Safety: Outrider and ambulance available every morning.
