Texas Racing Commission Announces Revised Fingerprint Waiver Policy

Beginning on March 1, 2010, the Texas Racing Commission will not waive fingerprint requirements for new out-of-state owners and trainers. Applicants must submit an FBI fingerprint card and a license application with the appropriate fees in order to complete the licensing process.

Owners and trainers wanting to renew an occupational license who have not submitted fingerprints to the Texas Racing Commission within the past three years must submit an FBI fingerprint card and a license application with the appropriate fees in order to complete the licensing process.

A trainer can take an emergency license for owners who failed to complete the licensing process by post time of the first race on the day the race animal is entered.

This policy will not affect the licensing process through the National Racing Compact (NRC) or the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI).
