TTHBPA President John Roark Diagnosed With Cancer

Texas Thoroughbred Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (TTHBPA) President John Roark was diagnosed with prostate cancer last week. Roark is also currently serving as a member of the Texas Horsemen's Partnership (THP) Management Committee and as President of the National HBPA.

Roark's doctors believe that they have discovered the cancer in an early stage, and they are very optimistic about its treatment. The doctors do not believe that the cancer has spread.

Roark is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove the cancerous tissue on December 16.

Your thoughts and prayers for John and his family during this difficult time will be greatly appreciated.
