Mr Jo Eagle Wins the 19th Running of the Grand Prairie Stakes in High Speed Fashion at Lone Star Park

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, September 18, 2015) - After getting bumped on both sides out of the gate, Mr Jo Eagle powered his way to the lead and never looked back winning the 19th renewal of the $20,000 Grand Prairie Stakes tonight.

Bred and owned by Dan W. Nicks of Devine, Texas, the four-year-old gelding by One Famous Eagle completed the 350 yard contest in :17.484 seconds over a fast track. It was a one length margin of victory over second place finisher Charvet, and it was only a nose back to favorite Jess a Comment in third.

Trained by R. L. Rick Robinson, Mr Jo Eagle was ridden to victory by Agustin Silva. With the winner's share of the purse, his career earnings now total $113,803. This was his seventh win from 19 career starts.

Mutuels returned $4.80, $3.60 and $2.20. Charvet returned $5.80 and $2.80. Jess a Comment returned $2.20. Kw Cowboy, Zoomin Tac, Hiclass Heat, and Really Hi completed the order of finish..
