Outstanding Field Drawn for Saturday's 16th Running of the Grade 1 $75,000 Refrigerator Handicap at Lone Star Park

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Thursday, October 4, 2012) - A full field of 10 competitors were drawn for the 16th running of the Grade 1, $75,000 Refrigerator Handicap, for three-year-olds and up going 440 yards, at Lone Star Park Saturday night. The winner is awarded an automatic berth into the Grade 1, $750,000 Champion of Champions race held at Los Alamitos Race Course on December 15.

Jls Mr Bigtime, a three-time graded stakes winner and earner of $947,797, has drawn the outside post-position and morning line odds of 7-2. The four-year-old gelding by Bigtime Favorite won the Grade 2, $100,000 Louisiana Classic at Delta Downs setting a track record there last July. Two races back he was beaten only three-quarters of a length in the Grade 1 Remington Park Invitational by reigning world champion, Cold Cash 123. He is owned by JLS Speed Horse Ranch Inc. and trained by C. Dwayne "Sleepy" Gilbreath. Raul Ramirez, Jr. will have the riding assignment.

Priceless Feature, owned by Ed Mezler and trained by Eddie Willis, finished second by only a head to all-time leading money earner, Ochoa in this years Rainbow Derby at Ruidoso Downs. And earlier this year earned a Grade 1 win in the Heritage Place Derby at Remington Park. Jimmy Dean Brooks has the riding assignment on three-year-old the gelding by Feature Mr Jess.

The field from the rail out, with jockey and morning line odds listed in parenthesis, consists of: Im the Key (Saul Ramirez, Jr., 20-1); Priceless Feature (Jimmy Dean Brooks, 3-1); Prospect to the Top (Oscar Rincon, 5-1); Dale N James (Luis L. Vivanco, 15-1); Charal Kid (Santos Carrizales, 8-1); Mr Truly Uno (Roy Baldillez, 12-1); Chi Ter (Debbie A. Freeman, 4-1); Dm Streakin Thru Fire (G. R. Carter, Jr., 8-1); Royal D Corona (David A. Alvarez, 30-1) and Jls Mr Bigtime (Raul Ramirez, Jr., 7-2).

The Refrigerator Handicap is race eight on the nine-race program and is scheduled for 9:23 p.m. CDT.
