Vertical Vision Tops List of 10 Qualifiers in Dash For Cash Futurity on Oct. 25
 
            (Sunday, October 12, 2008) - Blurred Vision Partnership’s 
              Vertical Vision, ridden by Ricky Ramirez and trained by Brian Muse, 
              was the fastest qualifier to the Grade 1, $531,945 Dash For Cash 
              Futurity on Saturday night at Lone Star Park. The two-year-old colt, 
              who finished fourth in the $254,000 Oklahoma Futurity at Remington 
              Park on March 22, ran the 400-yard distance in 19.695 seconds (Speed 
              Index – 99) in the 11th trial to top the list of 10 qualifiers 
              for the Saturday, Oct. 25 final.  
            The Trey Wood-conditioned Lethal Delight, also ridden by Ricky 
              Ramirez, upped her career record to three for three by winning the 
              12th trial in 19.710 to post the second best time. Andorite, a two-year-old 
              filly who finished third in the $520,000 Remington Park Futurity 
              on April 19, ran the third fastest time of 19.824.  
            A total of 153 American Quarter Horses competed in a record 16 
              trials for the Dash For Cash Futurity on Saturday at Lone Star Park. 
            Besides Ricky Ramirez, who finished on the top two qualifiers, 
              only jockey J.R. Ramirez rode a pair in the top 10. There were no 
              trainers with two finalists.

              Show Me Your Toole (19.895, Gilbert Ortiz, Toby Keeton), Specially 
              Alluring (19.904, Rodrigo Vallejo, Judd Kearl), Miss Sin Tacha (19.910, 
              G.R. Carter, Jr., Heath Taylor), * Double Chiseled (19.928, Chris 
              Zamora, Jorge Valenzuela), * Executive Looks (19.928, Rodrigo Vallejo, 
              J. Bryan Rangel), and Red Oak Special (19.957, J.R. Ramirez, Angel 
              Sanchez).

            Lone Star Park’s 31-day, 2008 Quarter Horse Fall Meeting 
              of Champions will be held from September 26 to November 29. After 
              the opening weekend on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26-27, racing 
              will be held every Thursday through Saturday in October and each 
              Wednesday through Saturday in November, except Wednesday and Thursday, 
              Nov. 26-27 when there will be no live racing due to the Thanksgiving
