Saturday Showcases the Divisional Grade 3 $20,000 Guaranteed Arabian Racing Cup Stallion Stakes at Lone Star Park

On the schedule are the divisional $20,000 guaranteed, Grade III Arabian Racing Cup Stallion Stakes for three-year-olds & up (colt & gelding division and filly & mare division) each at one mile on the main surface. Favorite Valiant Boy Sbfar Looms Tough in Arabian Racing Cup Stallion Stakes G3 Colt & Gelding Division

Guy Neivens' VALIANT BOY SBFAR has an impressive win streak going on. The six-year-old horse by DARWEESH out of THUMB PRINT, by BAROUR DE CARDONNE, has won his last seven races, spanning over a two plus year period. He won all three attempts in 2012 and each of his three attempts last year. He has amassed career earnings of $304,835 from a record of 19-11-3-1.

Laid down as the 4-5 morning line favorite by Lone Star Park track handicapper, Rick Lee, he looks to impress in this. VALIANT BOY SBFAR was voted the 2012 Darley Award Horse of the Year. He is trained by Elizabeth M. Merryman, and will be ridden by Ramon Guce.

The Grade III Arabian Racing Cup Stallion Stakes, colt & gelding division has been carded as the third of 10 races on Saturday. Approximate post time will be 7:27 p.m.

Competitive Field Entered in Arabian Racing Cup Stallion Stakes G3 Filly & Mare Division

Quarter Moon Ranch's, LLC's BREEZELL LZP has been made the morning line favorite at 2-1 in Saturday's filly & mare division of the Grade 3, Arabian Racing Cup Stallion Stakes.

Scheduled as race seven, the one mile stakes will be contested on the main track. Post time is 9:11 p.m.

BREEZELL LZP, a six-year-old mare by BURNING SAND out of LZP DIAMONDZEL, by BRUSALLY ORLEN, has a career record of 9-2-5-2 earning a total of $20,335. She is trained by 2013 Darley Award winning trainer Scott Powell and will be piloted by Kelsi Purcell.

Sam Vasquez's MY VAZ IS HOT, a four-year-old filly also by BURNING SAND out of FORTY ALL, by MONARCH AH, is one BREEZELL LZP needs to watch out for. Trained by Rene Lafluer, MY VAZ IS HOT has a career record of 15-4-2-0 with earnings of $28,680.

On The Track: Remember that every Thursday night is Senior Citizens' night and Military Discount night. All senior citizens, age 62 or older with a valid I.D., or members of any branch of the military, with a valid military I.D., receive free general admission.

Racing Around The Globe: It's British Champions Day at Royal Ascot Saturday, October 18, and Lone Star Park will simulcast the 4th through 6th races. Bar and Book will open at 9:00 a.m. (CDT), so come out early to watch, wager and win! Race 4 is the $1,851,000 Queen Elizabeth, II Stakes (Group 1) at one mile on the turf. Post time is 9:30 a.m. (CDT). Race 5 is the $2,255,500 Qipco Champion Stakes (Group 1) also at one mile on turf with a scheduled post time of 10:05 a.m. (CDT). Race 6 is a $415,000 Handicap at one mile on turf. Post time is 10:45 a.m. (CDT).

Also on Saturday, October 18 it's the 2014 AQHA Challenge Championships simulcast live from Prairie Meadows Racetrack in Altoona, Iowa. Their first race post time is 7:00 p.m. (CDT).
