The Field Cricker Wins 15th Running of the B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes (RG3) Saturday Night at Lone Star Park

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Saturday, October 27, 2012) - Claud R. Denson's The Field Cricket cruised gate to wire to take the 15th running of the B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes (RG3) Saturday night at Lone Star Park.

Trained by Jesse Yoakum and ridden by Jerry Lee Yoakum, the four-year-old gelding by Lead the Field, completed the 400 yards in 19.533 over a fast track. The effort earned a speed index of 95. With the win tonight, The Field Cricket improved his record to five wins from 15 starts and the $11,800 winner's share of the purse boosted his lifetime earnings to $54,688.

Favorite First Klas Fred finished a neck back in second, while Nowurtalkin ran third. Sparrow Contender, Sunny D, Acorn, Executive Prince and Jessa Kool Perry completed the order of finish.

The Field Cricket paid $19.80, $8.20, $5.20. First Klas Fred paid $3.40, $3.00 and Nowurtalkin paid $4.60.
