Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Trials This Weekend at Manor Downs

(March 26, 2004) - The Manor Downs Paint and Appaloosa Futurity Trials scheduled for Saturday, March 27, will highlight racing at Manor Downs this weekend. This race is exclusively for two-year-old Paint and Appaloosa horses going 300 yards, and it is rated as a G3 by the American Paint Horse Association.

After nominations closed, a total of 20 head entered to run in the trials. With nominations and the guaranteed $10,000 added money tabulated, the total purse the two-year-olds will be running for in the finals is $28,200.

The first heat for the Paint and Appaloosa trials will be race 5 on Saturday, with an approximate post time of 3:02 p.m. The second heat will be race 6 at approximately 3:25 p.m. The horses that post the ten fastest times will qualify for the finals, which is scheduled to be run on Saturday, April 10.
