Trials for both stakes races were run at The Park on May 21st and 22nd. Saturday night’s live racing card will feature nine races, with the Derby as the 6th race on the night’s card and the Futurity as the 8th race.

Executive Precision (8-5), the fastest qualifier for the TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity, is the morning line odds favorite. The 350-yard race features the top two-year-old sprinters. Executive Precision is trained by Eusevio Huitron and will be guided by jockey Enrique Moreno Gonzalez. The two-year-old grey colt has a stellar record of three first-place finishes out of his five starts.

The remainder of the 10-horse field includes: Jess A Classy Lass, Stones Puede, Trampstamp, RC Shake Up My Day, The Gray Menace, Stylize, Giorgino, Gray Darlin Dash and Cant Shake My Fame.

The TQHA Sires’ Cup Derby will showcase the top three-year-olds racing a distance of 400 yards. The favorite and fastest qualifier, Ocean Fun (7-2), will be led by the same trainer-jockey team as Executive Precision. Huitron and Gonzalez look to bring the three-year-old brown gelding back to the winner’s circle for his second consecutive win during the 2010 Quarter Horse meet.
