(Saturday, July 18, 2009) - The trials for the $15,000+ Sam Houston Maiden Classic for three, four, and five year old maidens were held on Saturday, July 18 at Sam Houston Race Park. Gerardo Ruiz's BT Special Game, a five-year-old gelded son of Game Patriot and the Special Leader mare Sealy Special, justified his favoritism in the second trial of the night, beating Foxy Shazoom by two lengths in :17.608 for the 350 yards. BT Special Game is trained by Kristian G. Galindo and was ridden to victory by Juan M. Molina, Jr.
