Ten Texas-Bred Fillies and Mares Set to Compete in the Season Opening $75,000 Bluebonnet Stakes Thursday at Lone Star Park

Grand Prairie, Texas (Wednesday, April 21, 2021) - Ten Texas-bred fillies and mares, ages three and up, will compete in the $75,000 Bluebonnet Stakes to kick off Lone Star Park's 2021 Thoroughbred racing season. Nine races are scheduled, and post time for the Bluebonnet is 6:35 p.m.

Raymond Todd White & Duane Coker's Ima Discreet Lady stands out in this field. A five-year-old daughter of Discreet Cat out of Ima Three Blinger, by Too Much Bling, is competitive just about anywhere you put her. She comes into this race off of back-to-back wins at Sam Houston in the $75,000 Miss Bluebonnet, a one mile turf stake, and most recently the $100,000 Yellow Rose, a six furlong sprint on dirt.

Her trainer, Karl Broberg, said "She's training great, and I'm praying for a good trip and lots of luck.”

However, she should win this on her skill alone. Of course, luck is always a good thing.

The field for the Bluebonnet Stakes, in post-position order, is:

1) She’s Our Fastest, Elliott, 2-1
2) Its My Money Too, Vazquez, 50-1
3) Ima Discreet Lady, Eikleberry, 8-5
4) Happy Sailor, Diego, 8-1
5) Zarelda, Luzzi, 20-1
6) Heavenly Rhythm, Landeros, 12-1
7) Boerne, Kennedy, 7-2
8) Gone Baby Gone, Sorenson, 20-1
9) Jan’s Tapin Go, 30-1
10) Dustwhirl Wonder, Lara, 33-1.
