            Win TTA Sales Futurities Saturday at LSP  Grand Prairie, 
              Texas (June 5, 2010) - Caroline Dodwell’s Aces N Kings, 
              trained by Bob Young and ridden by Eguard Tejera, withstood a late 
              challenge from Tamtastic to win the $60,280 TTA Sales Futurity Stakes 
              (Colts and Geldings Division) on Saturday at Lone Star Park.   A bay son of Jet Phone, Aces N Kings rated kindly behind early 
              fractions of :22.08 and :46.50. When asked by his rider to apply 
              pressure on the leaders turning for home, Aces N Kings surged to 
              the lead and stayed on through the stretch before stopping the timer 
              in 1:00.09 for the five-furlong distance. Runner up Tamtastic finished 
              ½ a length behind and it was another 1 ½ lengths back 
              to third-place finisher Jazz Party.   With the win, Aces N Kings improved his record to three wins from 
              three starts and increased his earnings to $58,428.   Aces N Kings paid $3.60, $2.20, $2.10, runner-up Tamtastic returned 
              $2.60, $2.80, and Jazz Party paid $6.20 for show. Valid Promise, 
              Epic Match, Beau Missile, I B an Intimidator, Care to Win, and Gloucester 
              completed the order of finish.   Lady Giacamo Stays Perfect in TTA Sales Futurity (Fillies 
              Division) JRita Young Thoroughbreds LLC’s Lady Giacamo, trained by 
              Allen Milligan, kept her unbeaten record intact with an impressive 
              victory in the $66,090 TTA Sales Futurity Stakes (Fillies Division). 
              The Steve Asmussen-trained Fastation finished 1 3/4 lengths back 
              in second, and it was another 3/4 of a length back to the Cash Asmussen-trained 
              Blushing Sis in third.   A bay daughter of 2005 Kentucky Derby winner Giacomo, Lady Giacamo 
              was sharp from the gate and controlled the early pace through fractions 
              of :22.21 and :46.48 under jockey Martin Escobar. When challenged 
              at the top of the stretch by Fastation, Lady Giacomo ran away from 
              that rival to record a decisive victory while stopping the timer 
              in :59.77 for the five-furlong assignment.   “She’s a nice filly, she’s done everything we’ve 
              asked her to do,” said winning trainer Allen Milligan.” 
              Lady Giacamo, who earned her third victory from three starts in 
              the TTA Sales Futurity (Fillies Division), increased her earnings 
              to $61,734.   Lady Giacamo paid $2.80, $2.40, $2.10, runner-up Fastation returned 
              $5.60, $3.20, Blushing Sis paid $2.20 for show. Good Fairy, My Girl 
              Marie, Last Legend, Girlie Legend, Lady Primal, and Political Gal 
              completed the order of finish. Blushing Sis and Lady Primal ran 
              as an entry. |
