Final 10 Days of Lone Star Park's 2013 Live Spring Thoroughbred Season Are Packed Full of Great Racing and Great Entertainment

Grand Prairie, Texas (Thursday, June 20,2013) - Lone Star Park is closing fast, with only 10 days left in the track's Live Spring Thoroughbred Racing Season. Those 10 days have a slightly different schedule than in the past, so please take note.

There are three live concerts scheduled, two nights of spectacular fireworks, not to mention we are giving away a Chevy truck and a trip to Las Vegas. Also, an additional Dollar Day has been added to coincide with Fan Appreciation Day.

Here is the schedule for the final 10 days of racing action and events at Lone Star Park:

Thursday, June 20
Nine live races. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m. Simulcast racing from around the country in the Bar & Book. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Friday, June 21
10 live races. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m. Live music on the Courtyard of Champions Stage with The Project from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Simulcast racing from around the country is in the Bar & Book. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday, June 22
10 live races. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. First race post time is 1:35 p.m. Jockeys & Java in the Courtyard of Champions with free breakfast and barn tours beginning at 8:30 am. Guests this week will be jockey Chris Landeros and jockey Fabio Arguello, Jr. Live music with Russ Lowry & the Expressions performing on the Courtyard Stage from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Simulcast racing from around the country in the Bar & Book. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, June 23
No live racing. Simulcast racing from around the country in the Bar & Book. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, June 27
Nine live races. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m. Simulcast racing from around the country in the Bar & Book. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Friday, June 28
Nine live races. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m. The Lone Star Music Series featuring Wade Bowen and Kyle Park. Kyle Park will open the stage after the final race with Wade Bowen closing the show. Admission is just $5 before 9 p.m. and $20 thereafter. Lone Star Music Series has an age policy for all concerts; you must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a legal guardian 30 years old or older. For more information call 972-263-7223. Saturday, June 29
11 live races scheduled. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. First race post time at 1:35 p.m. The Jockeys & Java morning workout program begins at 8:30 a.m. with free breakfast and barn tours. Dollar Day returns! $1 General Admission, Programs, Hot Dogs, Soft Drinks, Popcorn and Beer. Plus, it's also Fan Appreciation Day! 17th Annual Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration in conjunction with the city of Grand Prairie! There are 10 live Thoroughbred races scheduled. Gates open at 3:00 p.m. First live race at 5:00 p.m. Members of any branch of the military receive free general admission with a valid military I.D. There will be plenty of fun activities for the whole family including pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, games and more! After the races, stay to enjoy a spectacular 20-minute fireworks display, choreographed to music courtesy of 106.1 Kiss FM. Enjoy live music from Vegas Stars on our Courtyard of Champions stage from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Plus, make sure to enter our Lone Stars and Stripes Truck Give-a-Way!* Simulcast racing from around the country in the Bar & Book. It is closing day of the 2013 Live Spring Thoroughbred Racing Season. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. First race post time is 1:35 p.m. The final Jockeys & Java morning workout program begins at 8:30 a.m. with free breakfast and barn tours. There are four great stakes races scheduled on the card, the two divisional TTA Sales Futurities, estimated at $100,000 each. Plus, the $50,000 guaranteed Assault Stakes and the $50,000 guaranteed Valor Farm Stakes. And for the grand finale, Billy Currington is set to take the stage after the final race to close out the 2013 Lone Star Music Series. VIP Packages are available.
