Two Turf Course Records Eclipsed Today at Lone Star Park

Grand Prairie, Texas (Saturday, June 22, 2019) - Lone Star Park's turf course saw two of its track record times eclipsed today. In the fifth race, a $15,000 claiming, Timothy C. Guidry's Bam Bam Bryan ran seven and one half furlongs in 1:25.97, shattering the previous record of 1:26.66, which was set in 2018 by Ghurair. Bam Bam Bryan is trained by Karl Broberg and was ridden by C. J. McMahon. The five-year-old grey gelding finished 10 lengths in front of the others, grabbing his third win from as many starts this meet.

In the seventh race, a $10,000 claiming at five furlongs, it was longshot Texas Munny Man, ridden by Lane Luzzi, who finished on top in track record time of :54.97 seconds. The previous record was :55.09 set by Salty Wave in 2010. Texas Munny Man is trained by George Bryant and owned by David Rodwalt.
