| Calhoun Duo Highlights Closing 
            Day $75,000 Middleground Stakes at LSP  (July 25, 
              2008) - Trainer Bret Calhoun has a solid one-two punch to send 
              out in the 12th running of the $75,000 Middleground Stakes for 2-year-old 
              colts and geldings going six furlongs at Lone Star Park on Sunday. 
              Calhoun will be represented by Larry Hirsch and Wayne Sander's Tres 
              Dangereux, and Clarence Scharbauer Jr.'s Early Final.  Tres Dangereux enters the Middleground off of his first career 
              win, and impressive score against maiden special weight company 
              here on July 10, and Early Final has his sights set on his second 
              consecutive stakes victory after proving best in the $125,000 Texas 
              Stallion Stakes 0on July 12.  Lone Star Park's all-time leading trainer Steve Asmussen will be 
              out to deny Calhoun with his two-pronged attack of King Gulch and 
              Club Tejano. The former was last seen posting his first career victory 
              in a maiden special weight contest here on June 21, and the latter 
              was an impressive winner in his career debut while beating nine 
              rivals to the finish line in a five- and-a- half furlong dash here 
              on July 5.  The field from the rail out, with jockey and morning line odds 
              listed in parenthesis, consists of: Austin Ridge (David Elston, 
              30-1); Jolie Streets (Justin Shepherd, 4-1); Tres Dangereux (Bobby 
              Walker Jr., 3-1); Getapossetogether (Eguard Tejera, 20-1); Supreme 
              Secret (Justin Shepherd, 4-1); King Gulch (Luis Quinonez, 8-1); 
              Heber Valley (Richard Eramia, 15-1); Cavalry's Brother (Eddie Martin 
              Jr., 30-1); Club Tejano (Quincy Hamilton, 6-1); Mister Bonz (Curt
